CHOWA is the Japanese wisdom of finding balance and harmony. Cho means searching, Wa means harmony. According to Japanese writer and wise woman Akemi Tanaka the practice of chowa comes down to Listening and Observing before you take action. Always. Knowing all the facts and feelings before you speak up. Asking questions instead of giving your opinions. Listening and learning. This beautiful modest and wise philosophy is something that we all could benefit from, if you ask me. I spoke with Akemi Tanaka (@akemitanaka777) and studied her book “Chowa” for an article in Dutch @happinez magazine (out now), and I think it might be translated to the English edition of Happinez International. You can find the book Chowa in bookstores worldwide. It is very well written and helpful in these times.
